Commodity Buyer (m/f/d)

Your tasks

• Develop and implement global purchasing strategies for assigned product groups
• You are responsible for negotiating prices, delivery and payment conditions, drafting contracts with suppliers and concluding them
• You actively monitor the procurement market and keep a close eye on current market trends (products, manufacturing technologies, range of suppliers)
You analyze the cost details (CBD) of existing suppliers and potential new suppliers and check them for consistency and potential savings
• Together with the team, you support the supplier development processes as an essential part of the company's purchasing policy and contribute your suggestions

Your profile

• You have completed a technical or business degree or comparable training and have at least 5 years of professional experience in purchasing
• You have experience in purchasing plastics (e.g. injection molded parts, granulates) or metal (stamped, bent, laser, turned, upsetting or cast parts)
• You have a high degree of assertiveness and negotiating skills as a prerequisite for your success
• You are used to working independently and on your own responsibility and attach great importance to this
• You enjoy working with international teams and therefore need good written and spoken English
