Senior Controller (m/w/d)

We are seeking an experienced and engaged Senior Controller to join our team at C. Melchers GmbH & Co. KG in Bremen, Germany.

Responsibilities

• Create and analyze financial reports, deriving recommendations for improvement
• Proactively conduct economic analyses, identifying optimization potential
• Act as a sparring partner for management in economic matters
• Support M&A processes
• Participate in budget planning and control
• Collaborate with different departments and international teams
• Prepare and present reports for management
• Drive digitalization efforts
• Conceptualize and implement dashboards

Ideal Candidate

• Completed degree in business administration with a focus on controlling, accounting, or finance
• Several years of professional experience in controlling, preferably in international trade or e-commerce
• Excellent analytical skills and strong affinity for numbers
• Proficiency in an ERP system (e.g. SAP) and a business intelligence tool (e.g. IDL Reporting)
• Fluency in English for communication with international colleagues
• Basic knowledge of accounting according to HGB
• Experience in corporate consulting and M&A projects is advantageous
• Experience in working capital optimization is also beneficial
• Strong communication skills, empathy, and teamwork
• Ability to work independently and structured
