Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, one of the leading international law firms, is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Knowledge Lawyer to join their Banking team in Germany.
About the Role
In this key role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality knowledge support to the firm's lawyers, enabling them to deliver market-leading client service. You will monitor and analyze legal developments, create and update internal knowledge products, and contribute to business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor key legal developments and disseminate to lawyers in the practice, considering impact on internal knowledge products, profile raising, and business development potential
Create and update internal knowledge products (e.g., standard forms, practice notes, and other "toolkits" and resources), working with lawyers in the practice to identify products offering the most value-add
Work with partners and other senior stakeholders to develop house views on legal developments or market practice
Capture insights from client mandates, drawing out trends and themes and sharing internally, as needed, in internal knowledge products or internal training
Key Requirements
Qualified lawyer with a strong academic background
A high level of relevant successful experience as a fee-earner or a knowledge management lawyer/professional support lawyer (or a combination) in a banking practice
Native or professional fluency in German and professional fluency in English
